Dopo aver fatto tardi per le prove del guardaroba previste per mezzogiorno e dopo aver pranzato con calma nel suo camerino, Elvis arriva tardi alla session di registrazione, per registrare la colonna sonora di "Easy Come, Easy Go" al Paramount Scoring Stage in Hollywood.

Il DJ di Memphis Dewey Phillips, che fu il primo dj a mandare in onda “That’s All Right Mama” muore all’età di 42 anni. Elvis dice ad un giornalista locale “Sono terribilmente addolorato e colpito per la morte di Dewey. Eravamo molto amici e gli sono sempre stato riconoscente per tutto quello che ha fatto per me, agli inizi della mia carriera
