Elvis tiene una nuova conferenza stampa, nella Rainbow Rib Room all’Hilton's Hawaiian Village hotel, per ridare l’annuncio che il concerto in mondovisione, via satellite, avrà luogo il mattino del 14 Gennaio 1973, con un concerto di prova generale che avrà luogo la sera del 13 gennaio, davanti ad un pubblico live al mattino. Viene anche dato l’annuncio che l’incasso sarà devoluto alla fondazione Kui Lee Cancer Fund. La cosa è stata suggerita dal giornalista Eddie Sherman di Honolulu.
