Durante questo show, Elvis spiega il risultato di una biopsia al fegato, alla quale si è recentemente sottoposto e poco dopo fa un imbarazzante monologo su vari argomenti personali, tra cui il suo rapporto con Priscilla (che era tra il pubblico insieme alla figlia Lisa Marie) quello che dicono i giornali e le voci sulle “droghe”

Elvis va al Tennessee Karate Institute insieme a Linda, per fare una dimostrazione di karate con Red West e Dave Wallace ed Dave Hebler, uno degli associati a Ed Parker.
A proposito della realizzazione del suo primo film sul karate, il Memphis Commercial Appeal scrive “Voglio i migliori istruttori di karate e specialisti sull’arte dell’autodifesa” dice Elvis, mentre filma una parte del documentario
Elvis Presley riceve il certificato di cintura nera di 8 ° grado dal Maestro Rhee, durante una cerimonia privata. La presentazione ebbe luogo il 16 settembre 1974 nello studio del Maestro Rhee a Memphis.

Visto che era ancora a Memphis, con l’aiuto di Linda, Elvis fa un programma dettagliato per il suo nuovo film sul karate, che si chiamerà: The New Gladiators. Elvis vuole fare questo film per promuovere la sua filosofia che il karate è un metodo per aiutare se stessi.
