Mel Ilbermann della RCA informa il Colonnello che mentre la RCA Records Tours continuerà ancora ad investire molto sui tours di Elvis, la Management III si occuperà di svolgere tutto ciò che riguarda la parte operativa del lavoro.

I due sindaci della città e della Contea di Memphis dichiarano l’Elvis Presley Day ed entrambi marciano nella parata organizzata che va dall’Elvis Presley Boulevard a Graceland.
Lo stesso giorno, il governatore della Georgia, Jimmy Carter emette un simile proclama, in onore delle cinque performance di Elvis ad Atlanta.

Elvis viene prelevato alle 19.45, dalla sua casa di Monovale e portato negli studi della RCA, sul Sunset Boulevard, per fare le prove in vista dell’imminente tour di Las Vegas. Torna a casa all’1.45 del mattino, mantenendo questo ritmo per le tre sere successive. Tra le nuove canzoni che Elvis prova, ci sono “Born To Lose” “The Twelth Of Never” e “I’m Leaving It Up To You” . Alla fine, del nuovo materiale, gli unici brani nuovi che vengono inseriti nello show sono la canzone di Olivia Newton John “Let Me Be There”. “Why Me Lord” di Kris Kristofferson e “Help Me” di Larry Gatlin, brani che Elvis ha ricevuto dai Voice.
