Un articolo a 4 colonne sul Memphis Press Scimitar dice: “Grazie alla pazienza di Sam Phillis, il cantante Elvis Presley, improvvisamente, diventa parte del mondo delle celebrità” aggiungendo come “Un bianco che, dalla fragranza rurale, canta i ritmi dei negri, in una notte ha visto cambiare la sua vita”.

Vernon Presley ha un attacco di cuore, mentre è in casa e viene portato d’urgenza Baptist Memorial Hospital, lo stesso ospedale, dove si trova Elvis e Vernon viene messo in una stanza vicino a quella di suo figlio

Non c’è alcun dubbio, però, che Elvis si impegni molto con l’ultima canzone di Tennis Linde “For The Heart” ed esegue di “Hurt”, il successo di Roy Hamilton del 1954, in una performance piena di pathos
